Usually I have to work much harder to reach such breathtaking views, but this time it took just over 3 hours to reach a dreamy viewpoint.
Beautiful, not too difficult, and beaten by few people: what more could you ask for from a hike in the snow?
A long but relaxing walk through picturesque villages and suggestive wooded stretches, up to a remote and tiny village at the edge of a valley crossed by a frozen stream, where you will certainly want to buy a house to hide in the silence muffled by the snow.
Short and sweet, this hike is easy and pays off with beautiful scenery without too much effort: a secluded plateau with a few villages, a lone church, and boundless mountain views.
All it takes is a pair of boots and a couple of hours for this short and scenic hike that begins in the village of Bivio.
It feels like Lapland, but we're only 40 minutes from Zurich, among beautiful forests, snow-covered valleys and breathtaking views of lakes and mountains.
The walk is long, but gentle and available for anyone with good winter boots. Go there to find some peace or to enjoy some hearty food in one of the huts along the way.
