Whether they are soft, leavened Finnish Kanelbulls, sinful Danish Kanelsnegle, covered with sticky frosting, or swirling Swedish Skillingsbollers, the concept is the same, a soft brioche with a drop-dead cinnamon scent.
Okay, to fall in love with Norway, you only need to drive through it and enjoy its magnificent views. But if you have the energy to sling on your backpack, perhaps a tent, and hike its trails, you will have priceless rewards.
A campervan trip is not an easy thing, especially if you are a first-time camper, but doing it in Norway will make everything a little lighter.
Between rugged mountains and bays with the whitest sands, hiking in Lofoten will leave you breathless. The views are incredible, the mountains alternate with the sea, the wild with picturesque villages.
It seems like a surreal place, with the roads bouncing over the islets one viaduct after another, the expanses of stockfish on the rocks, the little red or yellow wooden houses that look like they were drawn by a fairy tale illustrator. There is no place that does not leave you enchanted, so walk them from south to north and absorb their essence. Our route winds from island to island, from Å i Lofoten to Andenes.
Our campervan wanderings have taken us along endless roads that wind through perennial ice, windswept heaths, skirting dizzying fjords or climbing there in tight turns.
