Hi.

Welcome to my blog! I am Lucia, and I would like to share my passion for the World with you.

Sleep in an old mill: Dorfmühle hotel in Lehrberg

Sleep in an old mill: Dorfmühle hotel in Lehrberg

Conveniently located in a central position to explore the towns of northern Bavaria, this beautiful hotel offers an elegant and atmospheric accommodation.

It is hidden in the small village of Lehrberg, about 26 km from Rothenburg o.d.T. and 50 km from Nuremberg. It is a cluster of buildings that belonged to an agricultural complex which included a mill, a barn and tool deposits. All the buildings have been renovated and used for different purposes: reception, hotel, bar, spaces for events.

The small half-timbered building that houses the guest rooms is very cosy, and the furniture elegant and modern. You cross a well-kept garden with a fountain to reach the building that hosts the breakfast room. This is an old stone barn, tastefully renovated: the large sliding service doors have been maintained, and the spaces are now closed by large doors and glass windows.

From the lofted breakfast room you can see, through Gothic stone arches, a large open-space with an organ where events, receptions and concerts are organized. And the view of the surrounding plains immersed in the morning mist is not so bad too!

Breakfast is a rich German-style buffet, with excellent ingredients, from fresh bread with homemade jam, to salami, salmon and cheese.

The price of the accommodation is around 100-130 € per night, depending on the room category selected, but considering that the prices for accommodation in the area, especially during periods of intense tourism (such as during our visit to the Christmas markets), are anything but low, it is an excellent value for money ratio.

Although the check-in time is until 19:00, you can arrive flexibly at any time and make an independent registration even when the staff is not present.
