2 view points on the Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge is the postcard image of San Francisco, and whether in broad daylight, in the twilight at night or illuminated by the diffused light of dawn, it is always photogenic. There are two viewpoints not to be missed on the famous bridge and they seem to be made especially for sunrise and sunset.
BAKER BEACH
A long sandy expanse northwest of the peninsula that almost seems to touch the base of the bridge. It offers a view from below of the steel giant, which in this way stands out beyond the surrounding rocks, against the background of the sky, so as to distinguish each of its cables and pylons.
The beach empties at sunset, populated only by birds perched on the rocks, and has a magnificent and peaceful view of the bridge at dusk.
BATTERY SPENCER
Here stands an observation tower once used to protect the bay, on the bank of Sausalito, but apart from this insignificant construction, there is a small observation point on top of the cliff which gives the best view of the bridge, especially at dawn.
The bridge can be seen from above, with the sea in the background, the San Francisco peninsula and the skyline of skyscrapers on the horizon.
When the sun invades the entire bay, illuminating the morning mist that laps the waters, look east to enjoy the spectacle of the island of Alcatraz whose silhouette is drawn on the sea.
