Photography spots in old Rhodes
The medieval town of Rhodes provides a magnificent backdrop for atmospheric photos. Come out just after dawn, when the city is still deserted and entertain yourself until dusk, when most tourists leave or invade the restaurants in the center, and you will find magnificent views to capture.
PALACE OF THE GREAT MASTERS OF THE KNIGHTS
Lunchtime is ideal for visiting this majestic building. You will find it almost deserted and you can choose your favorite corner to photograph.
HIPPOCRATES SQUARE (Πλατεία Ιπποκράτους)
You will have to carve out your own photographic corner in this magnificent and crowded square, which at sunset is coloured in golden shades.
STREET OF THE KNIGHTS
The most crowded and photographed street in Rhodes, which obviously makes it impossible to capture even a part of it without your camera being invaded by dozens of tourists. Sunrise is the ideal time to find yourself alone walking among the rounded pebbles that pave it.
THE WINDMILLS OF NEORIOU PIER
The smallest of the three ports that interrupt the coastline just outside the walls of the medieval city is recognizable by the three imposing windmills crowned by a brick-red roof, which quietly watch the sunset, the ideal time for a photo shoot.
FRESCOED WALLS
The alleys of the old town hide irresistible corners of colour for a photographer. Lose yourself, stumble upon a door with frescoed jambs and stop to photograph it.
